Aluminum & Wood Composite
The Direct-Set Window is built with an aluminum-wood composite frame. Combining the strength and durability of extruded aluminum with the allure and thermal performance of wood maximizes each material's inherent properties for long lasting performance and beauty.
Interior Finish Options
Available in a variety of hardwood, softwood, and bamboo species including the option for Forest Stewardship Council© certified materials. Species include: Alder, Ash, Bamboo, Brazilian Cherry, Cedar, Cherry, Douglas Fir, Hickory, Mahogany, Maple, Oak, Poplar, Walnut, White Pine.
All wood materials are kiln dried and preservative treated to prevent deterioration. Applied prior to assembly, our three-coat factory finish options include standard and custom paints, stains, and clearcoats.
Exterior Finish Options
Three finish options are available for our extruded aluminum profiles
Powder Coating, our most common finish, is highly durable in all environments. Select from our stock colors or custom colors
Anodized Finish gives any commercial or residential project a timeless metallic aesthetic ranging from bright clear to deep black
Kynar® PVDF Coatings are exceptional for their ability to retain color and gloss while keeping windows looking vibrant
Sizing Guidelines
Our standard maximum frame height or length is 144″. Our standard glass limit is 70 ft² for double-pane glass and 60 ft² for triple-pane glass, with the longest side 142" or less, and the shorter side not to exceed 90". We can push beyond these standards using specialty glass and custom engineered reinforced frames.
Frame Configurations
Direct-Set frames can be configured with custom shapes and are easily combined into field-mulled arrangements with other H Window doors and operable windows.
Accessory Options
Design versatility of the H Casement Window is amplified with customizable accessories including divided lites, exterior aluminum and interior wood extension jambs.
