Surface & Texture
Gold Beach is twice brushed after proprietary charring methods. The texture resembles a smooth 3D topographic map of the Oregon coast range. The brushing removes the summer wood leaving the heavily textured charred winter wood prominent. The soot layer is completely brushed off. It is suitable for exterior or interior use. Ships pre-finished to the customer.
Wood Grade
STK - “Select Tight Knot" grade allows for well spaced intergrown knot. Unlimited combination of heartwood and sapwood, pith allowed. Checks allowed to 1/16" as long as plank stability, weather-resistance, and cosmetics are not adversely affected.
CMG - “Clear Mix Grain" no knots with minor blemishes (ie. birdseye).
Clear Grades are predominately sapwood.
