Bayview Community Wastewater Treatment System

Bayview is an unincorporated community located on the eastern shore of VA, in Northampton County. This 300 year-old community grew significantly with an influx of recently freed slaves after the Civil War, and to this day, largely comprises African American residents. In 1998, Bayview Citizens for Social Justice formed to install, for the first time, a water and wastewater treatment system.
