When unauthorized egress is initiated, egress is delayed through the door for 15 seconds (or 30 seconds) by the approved locking hardware. Meanwhile, the person exiting must wait while personnel or security responds. The door unlocks after 15 seconds (or 30 seconds) have elapsed permitting egress. A multi-family project in the heart of East Cambridge, Massachusetts, 22 Water Street was designed for today's urban renter.

The LEED-NC Silver-certified building offers 392 residential units with 2500 door openings and includes both commercial and residential door hardware.

The Abilene Wylie ISD Performing Arts Center Abilene, Texas

Adding electronic access control to a construction project after it has begun could cause major scope shift but with the Hager powered by Salto HS4 system it wasn't as difficult as one would think.

While the interior doors hadn't been installed before the change order took place, the exterior aluminum storefronts had. Tex-Oma Builders Supply, an HS4 authorized distributor, installed HS4 electronic access control on nearly every interior locking door and then added card readers to the exterior doors.

The school district likes this system because of the way it functions wirelessly and the price-point matched their budget. The system will be able to grow if the school decides to expands.

Amilia Fushi Baa Atoll, Maldives

Amilla Fushi is an island resort located in Baa Atoll and is made up of a range of purposebuilt island homes, including one- and two-bed Beach and Lagoon Houses, two-bed Tree Houses, Ocean Reef Houses and 12 Beach Residences with three to six bedrooms.

Finolhu has 126 rooms, 88 of which are over water, and a further 40 villa suites situated on a private island.

Both properties are located in Baa Atoll and can be reached via scheduled flights from the new Baa Atoll airport.

Hager Companies provided 3800U european style lock cases in P, S and B functions, along with masterkeyed 3800C europrofile cylinders and 6803 stainless steel lever handles. Hager also furnished accessories including 30S and 33E push and pull plates.

Annapolis Yacht Club Eastport Sailing Center Annapolis, MD

The new 80,500 square feet Sailing Center houses classrooms, a gallery, event space, locker rooms, a boat maintenance facility, and the junior fleet program. Keeping with the charm and location of the building, the door hardware was provided in a warm antique bronze oiled finish. Grade 1 3800 Series mortise locks, 4500 Series exit devices, 5100 Series door closers, were provided along with three-knuckle hinges, threshold and weatherstripping products.

Burj Khalifa Dubai, United Arab Emirates

The Burj Khalifa, at 2,723 feet, is currently the tallest structure in the world. Construction began in September of 2004 and doors were opened in January of 2010. The structure is home to 30,000 residences, 9 hotels, 19 residential towers, Dubai Mall, acres of parkland, and a 30 acre lake.

Hager Companies provided full mortise hinges and concealed leaf stainless steel continuous hinges- both American -made and backed by a lifetime warranty. Hager also provided floor stops, flush bolts, and threshold and weatherstripping products for this amazing structure.

Centene Plaza Clayton, Missouri

Centene Plaza stands 17 stories high, spans 485,000 square feet of office and retail space, and includes a 972-space parking garage and public plaza. It features a unique colored glass walkway between the parking garage and tower. Centene Plaza is the region's first and only multi-tenant office that is LEED® Gold certified--featuring a 21,000 squarefoot green roof, low-E glazing for heat gain reduction, and access to two light rail stops. It is also the first Class A office building to be built in Clayton, Missouri, in just short of a decade.

The Center for Design Research at the University of Kansas is a response to the increased interest in sustainable design at the University. The Center is a showcase of sustainable design and green technology and provides a location for meetings, conferences, and classes for both students and faculty. Centro Medico Zambrano Hellion Monterrey, Mexico

The Centro Medico Zambrano Hellion is an innovative medical center in Monterrey, Mexico that brings together highly specialized medical care, research, and continuing education to Mexico and to the world. It features a new, 105-bed hospital that houses 300 doctors and cares for 50,000 patients each year--10,000 of which will be hospitalized. The medical center also includes a number of institutions that specialize in specific areas of medicine.

Community Education Building Wilmington, DE

Formerly the Bracebridge IV building, this historic building was donated to the Longwood Foundation by the Bank of America. The CEB, an independent entity of the Longwood Foundation, created a charter public school system for grades K-12 with an emphasis on high performance.

Recognizing the demanding environment, Hager specified and supplied Grade 1 3800 Series Mortise Locks, 5200 Series and 7000 Overhead Control Door Controls, and 4500 Series Exit Devices. Also supplied were trim, auxiliary, threshold and weatherstripping products.

Eliot-Hine Middle School Washington D.C.

Located in Washington D.C., the Eliot-Hine Middle School campus consists of four adjoining buildings totaling approximately 158,000 square feet of space. The original building was constructed in 1931, and two additions were added in 1936 and 1961.

The 1961 building was demolished, and a new building was constructed to better connect and unify the entire campus with ADA accessibility. The newly modernized facility also meets or exceeds sustainability guidelines for LEED - Gold Certification.

Lewis County Adventist School Chehalis, Washington

Lewis County Adventist School has been providing quality Christian education since 1922 and currently offers programs for students in preschool through the 10th grade. The new school building opened in October of 2011 and, in addition to classrooms, includes a music room, tutoring room, communication room, library, science lab, full-sized gymnasium with locker rooms, kitchen, laundry room, teachers' prep room, administration offices, and a commons area. The school spans over 30,000 square feet and sits on a hill that overlooks the Cascade Mountains and valley wetlands.

Taipei 101 Taipei, Taiwan

Taipei 101 is Taiwan's tallest building and largest engineering project in the country's history. Taipei 101 shoots 508 meters into the sky--with 101 floors above ground and 5 floors below ground. The structure was designed to resemble bamboo, and is a reflection of traditional Chinese building philosophy. The structure inclines 7 degrees inward and increases in size as it gets taller. It contains retail space, office space, and condominiums.

Hager Companies provided a complete assortment of architectural hinges--all of which are American-made and backed by a lifetime warranty. Additionally, Hager provided various trim items, including pulls, door stops, floor stops, and flush bolts.

The Alamo Antonio, Texas

The Alamo in Antonio, Texas welcomes visitors to tour the historic site of a 19th century Spanish mission and battleground, most known for the 1836 Battle of the Alamo.

Renovations were completed in late 2016 to address security and ADA concerns. There were many details that had to be considered and it took coordination from all parties to bring the door openings up to code while maintaining the historical nature and aesthetics of the building.

Hager provided a complete door hardware package including our 8400 Series low energy power operator to address and meet ADA clearance requirements on the pair of front doors.

The Crash Pad Chattanooga, Tennessee

The Crash Pad is a base camp and community hub for adventurous travelers seeking to play in the Tennessee mountains and rivers. It is an uncommon hostel in the heart of downtown Chattanooga. As a hostel, it offers an affordable place to rest and camaraderie to boot, but with the charm and cleanliness of any boutique hotel. The Crash Pad has exceeded LEED Gold Certification and is reaching for Platinum certification. It is also a member of the 1% for the Planet Program--donating 1% of sales to environmental groups around the world.

The Sheridan at Laumeier Park Sunset Hills, MO

An assisted living and memory care facility, The Sheridan features 43 assisted-living apartments plus 41 memory care residences. An upscale community that sits on 3.9 acres and has nearly 69,000 square feet of finished space.

Working with the warm tones of the design the door hardware was supplied with a dark bronze finish. The 4500 Series vertical rod exit devices were provided less bottom rod to avoid tripping hazards. Furnished with the August lever style that meets ADA ANSI A117.1 requirements and provides a continuous look throughout the project, the entry suite doors utilized 3800 Series mortise locks and the interior doors the 3600 Series locks. Both provided the necessary security and dependability of a commercial lock with a more residential look.

Hager Companies contribution to the project provides aesthetically pleasing door hardware that complements the interior design yet maintains the security required to keep the residents safe.

Torres Arcos Bosques II Mexico City, Mexico

The Torres Arcos Bosques II consists of two towers joined by a bracket. The towers shoot 161.2 meters into the sky and include 34 floors and 5 underground levels for parking. Inside the towers, a shopping center boasts restaurants, shops, a theater, banks, a library, and a children's play zone. The towers also feature a five star hotel and office space that has been designed with minimalist architecture and plenty of natural lighting.

Hager provided 3200 Series deadlocks, 3500 Series cylindrical locks, 5200 Series surface door closers, 4700 Series Rim exit devices and accessories, architectural hinges, door pulls, jamb weatherstripping, saddle thresholds, and door bottoms.

Two Twelve Clayton Clayton, MO

A 26-story, 382,666-square-foot mixed-use building. Retail space, lobby and tenant amenities make up the first floor. A secure parking garage provide 215 spaces on Floors 2-5. Floors 6-25 provided 250 residential units.

Working in tandem with the architectural firm early in the project ensured this project ran smoothly, with no surprises.

University of Kentucky Academic Science Building Lexington, KY

The three-story, 263,000-square-foot laboratory building features 300 door openings leading to multiple technology-enhanced classrooms and large lecture halls.

Washington University - Brauer Hall St. Louis, Missouri

Brauer Hall is the new home of Washington University - St. Louis' School of Engineering's Department of Energy, Environmental & Chemical Engineering. It also serves as space for the International Center for Advanced Renewable Energy & Sustainability and shares facilities with the University's Department of Biomedical Engineering.

Brauer Hall , which is LEED® Gold certified, spans 150,875 square feet and is designed with the same Collegiate Gothic style that is characteristic of Washington University's Danforth Campus. It boasts laboratories, classrooms (including distance education classrooms), specialized teaching areas, conference rooms, faculty offices, and numerous student work spaces.
