Standard Features
A thoughtfully planned, well-built deck serves as an extension of your home's living space - an escape on which you can enjoy the outdoors, relax with a good book, and entertain friends. A traditional wood deck has some major drawbacks, however. It requires regular maintenance, including cleaning, sealing, and staining, and, what's more, the space beneath it becomes a dark and uninviting space. Our SkyFloor® Glass Deck System system eliminates these concerns while allowing your deck to more seamlessly integrate with the surrounding outdoors.
Standard Features
Offered as a complete package, our SkyFloor® Glass Deck System consists of innovative features and options that give it unparalleled strength and beauty:
Glass staircases, treads, and landings are truly stunning architectural features that can create breathtaking visuals. A set of stairs made entirely of glass, for example, can make those climbing the steps appear as if they're treading on air. The huge variety of shapes and sizes, along with the range of complementary materials that can be integrated, mean that the design options for glass-stair systems are virtually limitless.
A glass bridge is a bold and powerful feature which is not only functional but also artistic. Glass Flooring Systems is the only manufacturer offering a complete turn key solution for such a feature. Contact us to discuss how Glass Flooring Systems can make this feature a reality and just how easy it can be.
Standard Features:
At Glass Flooring Systems, we create glass that serves not just as a beautiful aesthetic component, but also as an actual structural element. When we create structural-glass beams and use them to construct entire footbridges and catwalks from pure glass, the glass fulfills requirements in both form and function. Its ability to support the structure and look beautiful while doing so defies the idea that these footbridges and other elevated walkways require heavy steel beams and hefty pieces of hardware girding them from above and below. Not only are our all-glass bridges entirely safe, they're also highly functional and incomparably beautiful.
To create a structure from glass using structural-glass beams, we partner with glass-specific engineering experts who work closely with our architects and are responsible for assessing site conditions, conceptualizing designs, and defining structural specifications. We construct each beam from layers of tempered, low-iron safety glass and utilize the latest technology in SentryGlas™ interlayers. Each beam is precisely machined, drilled, edged, and polished to create a stunning architectural showpiece with incredible structural integrity.
Standard Features:

Lamination is a critical component of walkable skylights and glass flooring. Glass Flooring Systems offers two different structural interlayer options Saflex® Structural DG and
SentryGlas®
.
Why SentryGlas®?
The SentryGlas® interlayer is five times stronger and up to 100 times stiffer than conventional laminating materials. With this kind of strength the glass can be a more active structural element in the building envelope, opening up design possibilities that didn't exist before. Besides its strength, SentryGlas® ionoplast interlayer provides superior and lasting beauty. Glass Flooring Systems recommends SentryGlas®
to help architects and builders do more with less, creating innovative new spaces, while providing greater protection for the building occupants.
Interlayer Design Options:
In addition to the structural interlayers, Glass Flooring Systems offers a number of design options for your interlayer choices. These options include digital printed interlayers, decorative meshes or colored laminations.
