Ventilation and Keeping the Air Clean
Warm or cold air that circulates through the duct system of any building needs to be clean and breathable. That is why ventilation in your heating and cooling system is essential in order to filter out odors, moisture, airborne bacteria, smoke, dust, or carbon monoxide and replenish oxygen. There are two types of ventilation: mechanical/forced or natural. Bathrooms and kitchens use mechanical/forced ventilation to reduce odors and excess moisture/humidity through means of fans and exhaust vents. Natural ventilation is an inexpensive way of ventilating a structure with outside air without the use of fans. It is utilized via windows, louvers or trickle vents. What's the Difference Between Central and Split Air Conditioning?
The key functions that air conditioner manufacturers have been focusing on year after year are simple: cooling and humidity control. Over the years, air conditioners have come in all shapes and sizes. Central air units using outside air condenser/evaporators, which direct cool air through a system of ducts, can be found in many residences or commercial buildings present today. Split air conditioning units have a newer technology, which includes an outside condenser that is connected to an indoor fan. This system is ductless and cools a single room or small area making it a great alternative. Whether you choose a central air or split air conditioning unit for your project, both types of air conditioning require maintenance, including filter changes.
