Our company founder Kenneth Ford was a pioneer in the forest products industry. In 1946, he blazed a trail by purchasing 15,000 acres of timberland: Today, Roseburg owns over 600,000 acres of viable timberlands, ensuring consistent forest products for the future. We started designing a plywood facility in 1950, and soon began producing wood products as well as lumber. In 1997, Allyn Ford, Kenneth's son, assumed ownership, meaning that Roseburg has been closely-held for 75 years. It's been a good start.
All of Roseburg's manufacturing is done in the U.S. What started as a single sawmill in 1946 has grown into the Roseburg of today: America's single broadest mix producer of green wood building products, owner of the largest capacity sawmill in the country, and the greatest exporter of wood chips in the U.S. Roseburg's engineered wood products facility is also one of the largest facilities in the nation.
At Roseburg, we offer custom industrial performance panels built to each customer's specifications, and the Roseburg mixed trucks and boxcar shipping solutions mean that we can customize both orders and shipping to suit each customer's needs. While every customer is different, we treat them all equally by giving them exactly what they're looking for.

Engineered Wood
The Roseburg Framing System® consists of: RFPI® Joists used in floor and roof construction; RigidLam® LVL which is used for headers, beams, studs and columns; and RigidRim® rimboard. All of the components are engineered to the industry's highest standards to help contractors build solid, durable, and better performing framing systems compared to ordinary dimension lumber.
CEU Courses
You've probably been framing with traditional solid sawn lumber beams, headers, columns and studs for as long as you've been building. Now, through advances in technology and design, there is a better choice - RigidLam® LVL (Laminated Veneer Lumber) beams, headers, columns and studs. They are simply a better alternative than traditional solid sawn lumber pieces. Why not make the job easier by working with a stronger, stiffer, consistent and more predictable building material. Compared with similar sized sections, our RigidLam LVL products can support heavier loads and allow greater spans than conventional lumber.
CEU Courses
RFPI®-Joists are the ideal choice for designers and builders who want to provide their customers with high-quality floor and roof systems. RFPI-Joists are simple to install, lightweight and have web knockout holes to facilitate the installation of electrical and plumbing. Backed by a product and performance warranty, RFPI-joists offer design flexibility and consistent performance.
CEU Courses
Roseburg RFPI™ I-joists with solid-sawn flanges are used in floor and roof construction and are engineered to make the job easier. RFPI's are the ideal choice for engineers, specifiers and builders who want to provide their customers with high quality floor systems. They provide consistent performance for the most demanding residential applications. RFPI Joists are an inherently green product because they are a more efficient use of raw materials. To manufacture our EWP products, we use fast growing, under utilized and less expensive wood species; therefore, large old growth trees are preserved. By design, engineered wood products require much less wood to achieve the same load bearing capability of solid sawn lumber.
CEU Courses
Roseburg RigidRim® Rimboard is used for perimeter framing and load transfer. To manufacture our EWP products, we use fast growing, under utilized, and less expensive wood species; therefore, large old growth trees are preserved. As a component of the Roseburg Framing system®, Rigidrim™ OSB and LVL rimboard allows contractors to quickly frame the perimeter of their floor system and is one of the most cost effective methods to properly transfer vertical and horizontal loads around the I-joist and directly into the supporting walls. Roseburg's RigidRim is dimensionally stable and resists shrinking and warping. It also provides a smooth nailing surface for the attachment of exterior sheathing, siding and ledgers.

Industrial & Sanded Plywood
Roseburg's AB Marine Panel is marine-grade plywood that is produced entirely of Group 1 species of veneer. Our marine plywood panel is sanded on both faces. The maximum core-gap size permitted is 1/8 inch. Its exposure durability rating is EXTERIOR and the glue used is a water resistant structural adhesive. It is considered a premium grade panel for use in situations where these characteristics are required. Specialty sizes and thicknesses are available.
Softwood Plywood
Roseburg Plywood underlayment is produced using thin layers of wood called veneers that are peeled from a western softwood tree log and glued together to form one multi-layered wood panel. This process creates a very strong plywood underlayment that is engineered to be a durable protective covering and can be applied directly over the floor joist framing of a building. Roseburg Plywood underlayment delivers outstanding stiffness: strength and versatility.
Roseburg's Sheathing panels are especially designed for engineered applications such as structural components where design properties including tension, compression, shear, cross-panel flexural properties and nail holding and bearing are of significant importance. Sheathing is manufactured according to the grade, veneer and panel thickness, construction, workmanship, and identification requirements for plywood sheathing as outlined in the PS 1-09.
Upon inspecting the panel, the first thing you will notice is there is a water-repellent coating over the top surface to all four edges of the panel. The water-repellent coating will protect the sub-floor material from the weather elements until the exterior walls and roof are installed.
RigidCoat® is produced with a tough water-repellent coating on the surface. Thin layers of wood called veneers are glued together to form one multi-layered sub-floor panel. RigidCoat delivers outstanding stiffness, strength and versatility.
Concrete Forming Plywood
Roseburg manufactures a complete offering of plywood concreting forming panels that are engineeered to provide the perfect desired finish to any concrete work.
PourMor MDO is an MDO concrete-forming plywood manufactured by Roseburg and is designed for exterior concrete-forming applications. Our leading technology and high manufacturing standards create a panel that has increased performance and alonger lifecycle than other concrete forming plywood. If properly used and maintained, PourMor MDO will increase the number of pours per panel and reduce the cost per pour.
PourMor MDO is manufactured with high-quality resin impregnated concrete forming medium density overlay (MDO) on one or two sides. It has a facility-applied Nox-Crete™ release agent making it reusable and the edges are sealed to keep out moisture. Metal bars or pry bars should not be used on plywood because they will damage the panel surface and edge. Use wood wedges, tapping gradually when necessary. Plywood's strength, light-weight and large panel size help reduce stripping time. Cross-laminated construction resists edge splitting.
Real Wood Siding
Roseburg DuraTemp® siding has a natural textured appearance. Its surface is 100% clear and free of patches and repairs. It's easy to paint, and can withstand exposure to the elements. DuraTemp® is manufactured with a strong plywood veneer inner core that is made of western softwood veneer and a fully water resistant (NAUF) phenolic resin. The surface is a tough hardboard face that won't split, crack or check - even with rough treatment. The plywood core is easy to handle and install yet stronger than most other siding products. Unlike vinyl and cement siding.
DuraTemp® Siding is made from real wood, an environmentally friendly renewable resource.
Choose from the following select superior face veneers that are all excellent for further finishing:
