Lock-Deck™ Laminated Decking

A structurally engineered product of two to five kiln-dried lumber laminations bonded together with an exterior waterproof adhesive to form glue-laminated decking. The decking is used for ceilings and roofs, as well as for balconies, mezzanines and floors.

Lock-Deck™ is commonly used in Heavy Timber construction as well as wood frame and hybrid systems.

Random length and long length (fingerjointed) decking, plus a variety of face patterns, textures and finishes.

Lock-Deck™ Factory Finishing

Factory finishing of Lock-Deck™ assures a complete and even application. Prefinishing saves construction time, eliminates the need for scaffolding, and provides a high quality finish and professional appearance.

The standard finish is an acrylic based, semi-transparent stain available in twenty colors. The color will vary depending upon the species of wood selected. Request an actual wood sample on species of choice for final color approval. A clear matte sealer or clear semi-gloss finish is also available for a natural finish.

Alaskan Yellow Cedar

Alaskan Yellow Cedar is a unique softwood that makes it very desirable for applications where beauty, durability, dimensional stability and strength are important.

Alder

Disdero Lumber stocks two grades of kiln-dried alder.

Superior Grade Alder will yield a high percentage of clear cuttings though some ripping and trimming will be required. Occasional small pin-knots and other natural defects that do not detract appreciable from the general appearance will remain. Finish of this grade is recommended when a mostly clear product is desired.

Appearance Grade Alder is a knotty product containing tight knots and other natural characteristics. Knot size and knot quality are limited depending on the width of the board. Occasional trimming of an undesirable characteristic may be required. Alder of this grade is recommended when a rustic, knotty appearance is desired.

Cedar Valley Shingles

Cedar Valley shingle siding panels are the perfect choice for your residential or commercial shingle project. Cedar Valley manufactures their panels by hand applying high quality Western Red Cedar shingles to 8'' plywood panels. This creates a siding product that is beautiful, durable and easy to install. Shingle panels simplify the installation process and reduce labor costs significantly when compared to individually applied shingles. Cedar Valley panels are available in a variety of sizes and styles to compliment the design you choose.

Douglas Fir - Clear

Clear Douglas Fir finish is highly valued for its strength, durability and fine appearance. It is manufactured into a variety of high-end products including flooring, paneling, millwork, doors, stepping and finish lumber. The natural beauty and warmth of clear Douglas Fir is always in style and will provide years of enjoyment and satisfaction.

Douglas Fir - Knotty

Our Douglas Fir trim boards are kiln-dried for stability, resawn on the best face, and selected for a fine rustic appearance. The boards complement the other Douglas Fir items we stock including our full line of kiln-dried, Douglas Fir timbers (resawn or surfaced,) and our kiln-dried, premium grade dimension lumber.

Douglas Fir - Timbers

Our #1 Douglas Fir timbers are FOHC, selected for appearance, and kiln-dried to a moisture content of 19% or less 1" in from all surfaces. Our timbers are dried in state-of-the-art conventional kilns that utilize a computer-controlled low pressure steam system.

ESLP

Engelmann Spruce/Lodgepole Pine (ESLP)Engelmann Spruce and Lodgepole Pine are both members of the pine family. The trees grow at higher elevations in the western United States and throughout British Columbia. Engelmann Spruce and Lodgepole Pine are similar in appearance and share many of the same characteristics. Because of their similarities, they are often processed together and marketed as ESLP. Products manufactured from ESLP include studs, construction lumber, poles, windows, doors, appearance grade boards and interior paneling.

Kiln-dried ESLP is a superior product for interior millwork and T&G patterns.

Hemlock

Western hemlock is milled into many different products and is favored by craftsmen for the high quality of its finish lumber. Clear lumber milled from hemlock is fine textured, straight-grained, free of pitch and it splinters less than other softwood clears. These characteristics make it an excellent wood for molding, millwork and a large variety of interior paneling products.

The characteristics of hemlock make it an excellent choice for interior finish materials.

IPE

Ipe is a Brazilian hardwood that is unmatched in strength and durability. It is reddish brown in color and can be finished with a penetrating oil to maintain its warm beauty for many years. It can also be installed unfinished and allowed to age gracefully to a silver gray patina that will require very little maintenance. Ipe is so durable that it was used as the deck surface of the world famous Atlantic City Boardwalk and has performed well for over a quarter of a century. When beauty, durability and low maintenance are important, Ipe is a top choice.

Ipe is an excellent choice for porches, sun decks, boardwalks, piers, benches and outdoor structures of all types.

Red Balau

Mahogany offers a long lasting beauty without uneven wear or splitting. Mahogany also provides a durable and strong deck that adds the perfect amount of warm, rich color to your home. Mahogany is sourced from countries that are leaders in ecological, sustained forestry practices.

Bridgetown Mahogany is a kiln-dried hardwood. Adequate air flow under the deck is essential. Kiln-dried deck boards will not shrink appreciably after installation. They will, however, expand during periods of high humidity or prolonged rainfall.

This managed-growth, plantation grown hardwood from Indonesia is twice as hard as normal Mahogany with less color variation than other hardwoods. Bridgetown Mahogany can be finished and maintain a "furniture look", or allowed to weather to a silver gray.

Montana Ghostwood

Montana Ghostwood is the perfect choice for the eco-conscious user. In an effort to preserver our forests, Montan Ghost Wood is created from SFI and FSC certified timber and logged from forests where beetles and forest fires have decimated the Montana landscape. In this respect, our product has truly been reclaimed from "Mother Nature".

Montana Ghostwood redefines reclaimed wood for virtually half the price. We create colors and textures inspired from the rustic wood barns, siding and flooring found in historic ghost towns and scenic Montana.

Ponderosa Pine

Ponderosa Pine is a versatile softwood that is honey-toned or straw-like in color. It is a good choice for interior projects of all types.

Redwood

No other North American softwood possesses the combination of elegance and long-lasting performance than California Redwood. Its natural beauty and durability are unsurpassed by any other commercially harvested specie. Most of our old-growth Redwood forests have been set aside for future generations and are protected by state and federal regulations. The remaining commercial forests are strictly managed for optimum renewability and sustainability. Redwood is manufactured into hundreds of high-quality products ranging from finish patterns for interior use to a large variety of exterior siding and decking products. Redwood is truly a top performer for outdoor use.

Southern Yellow Pine

Abundant, renewable and managed for sustainability, Southern Yellow Pine is a good environmental choice. Its warmth, beauty and durability make this wood very suitable for solid wood floors in any style of home.

Western Red Cedar - Clear

Western Red Cedar was first used by Indians in the Pacific Northwest hundreds of years before the arrival of the first white settlers. They admired its beauty, its light weight, and its superior durability when used outdoors. These are the same qualities that make Western Red Cedar so desirable today. Straight grained, soft textured, resistant to rot and decay, cedar is a perfect choice for interior and exterior applications.

Western Red Cedar - Fingerjoint

Kiln-dried western red cedar is an excellent choice for exterior use. It is available as a fingerjointed product that creates value, increases utilization, and is environmentally efficient. Short pieces of clear cedar are fingerjointed and glued end-to-end into a strong, long-length pattern blank. The clear cedar blanks can then be manufactured just like solid finish into tongue and groove patterns, shiplap patterns, and even bevel siding. Fingerjointing short pieces of cedar into longer lengths creates value out of material that might otherwise be chipped or wasted. Clear, fingerjointed, western red cedar offers good value and is resource friendly.

Western Red Cedar - Knotty

Select Tight Knot Western Red Cedar is highly valued for its rustic beauty, durability, and superior performance when used in exterior applications. Its natural resistance to rot, decay and insect damage make STK Western Red Cedar an excellent choice for siding, fascia, trim, patio decks, and garden structures of all types. Because of its fine appearance, STK Western Red Cedar is also used for a variety of interior applications and is especially beautiful as wall and ceiling paneling.

Western Red Cedar - Timbers

Western Red Cedar is unique to the Pacific Northwest and British Columbia and is recognized as one of the world's finest cedars. The wood is exceptionally durable, fine grained, soft textured, and free of pitch. Its natural resistance to rot and decay and its attractive appearance make Western Red Cedar particularly suited for outdoor uses such as shakes, shingles, fences, decks, gazebos and other outdoor structures. Timbers manufactured from Western Red Cedar are highly valued for interior and exterior applications.
