Desiccant dehumidification in your ice rink means an end to fog, dripping, and mold because it is the only reasonable way to get very low humidity air and improve the quality of your ice.

How They're Made:
Lightweight, flexible and durable, these are the dasherboards that changed the industry. The PRO Series™ frames, both the 3" Inline model, and the 5" Ice Hockey model, are built from T-5 tempered aluminum alloy box extrusions, available with an anodized finish. Anodized aluminum will never rust or pit, and it's always easy to clean, with just water and mild detergent – so your boards will always look great.
Using state-of-the-art concealed mechanical-fastening techniques (not welded), the PRO Series™ provides a more flexible board system than old-fashioned steel boards. No exposed brackets or anchors, no collection areas for debris and dirt.

It may sound like something you'd find in a Marvel character's headquarters, but a desuperheater is a different kind of secret weapon—one that's helping food and beverage businesses get to net-zero by making use of a renewable resource hiding in plain sight: waste heat. Nearly three-quarters of all the energy produced by humanity becomes waste heat that is released into the atmosphere. By capturing and reusing this free byproduct, businesses can save money and optimize production while conserving resources and cutting greenhouse gas emissions. That's where the desuperheater comes in.

THE KEY TO A MOISTURE-FREE FACILITY
Whether your facility is a manufacturing unit, food processing business, or a seed storage space, a dehumidifier is a critical piece of equipment designed to address excess moisture everywhere in a facility—from process rooms and docks to storage coolers — by removing fog and condensation, and eliminating ice and frost build-up on floors, evaporator coils and products.
The moisture-absorbing capability of the dehumidifier results in drastically reducing the need for a defrost cycle for the evaporators within your facility, in contrast to the typical requirement of doing it on a daily basis and sometimes multiple times a day, which means energy savings and reduction in electricity costs for your facility. Coupled with energy savings, using a dehumidifier will also translate to operational efficiency and reducing equipment maintenance, thus bringing enhanced productivity, and reduction in downtime.
Adiabatic condensers only use water at peak ambient conditions, therefore significantly reducing water and energy costs as compared to evaporative or air-cooled condensers. This increased thermal performance at peak ambient conditions lowers the total cost of ownership and reduces compressor energy usage.
Any reduction in energy automatically leads to a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions – a key requirement for transitioning to net zero.
What is an adiabatic condenser?
An adiabatic condenser (or cooler) is an air-cooled finned heat exchanger with a pre-cooling section that features humidification pads (or water spray nozzles) that help lower the ambient dry bulb temperature prior to entering the coiled heat exchanger section. This then allows for more efficient heat rejection.

District Heating and Cooling
Municipal officials around the world are becoming more interested in local energy generation as a way to solve the mounting economic, social, and ecological concerns they are experiencing. A tried-and-true method for fulfilling this demand is district energy.
Natural Refrigerant heat pumps for district heating and cooling
District heating and cooling, and heat pumps play a significant role in energy systems. Heat pumps are expected to become more prevalent in district heating systems since they can deliver heat with higher efficiency and connect the heating and electricity sectors by using renewable energy sources. It allows for the entire energy system to be decarbonized.
Heat pumps are powered by refrigerants and the refrigerants themselves contribute to greenhouse gas emissions. Within the refrigerant industry, there is a push towards phasing out refrigerants that contribute to global warming and an inclination toward natural refrigerants. Natural or non-synthetic refrigerants, like Ammonia and CO2, are naturally occurring and can be found in nature. The metric used to measure the global warming effect of refrigerants is called Global Warming Potential (GWP). The GWP of natural refrigerants ranges from 1 to 0, while that of non-natural/synthetic refrigerants is in the thousands. At CIMCO, we design and install heat pumps that use natural refrigerants, namely ammonia and CO2.
A nature-based solution
A heat pump that runs on natural refrigerant is a future-proof, regulatory-compliant solution. Natural refrigerants such as ammonia (R717) and CO2 (R744) are nature-based solutions with zero or near zero ozone depletion and global warming potential.
The main energy source for a heat pump is electricity, and when electricity is generated from renewable sources and a heat pump running on natural refrigerants is used, communities have an absolute opportunity to decarbonize buildings and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
CIMCO Heat pumps run on electricity and do not burn natural gas which means no greenhouse gas emissions.
When powered by a natural refrigerant like Ammonia or CO2, it becomes an absolute future-proof system since both these refrigerants have no negative impact on the environment and will never be phased out by governments.
Heat pumps can capture heat from multiple sources, including process waste heat, and turn it into usable heat, which means no waste heat is added to the atmosphere.
As there is no combustion process, it reduces the risk of carbon monoxide leaks.
