VacuMax™ vacuum insulating glass (VIG) by Vitro Architectural Glass integrates with any traditional (and even non-traditional) glazing system to maximize insulation performance. With wall-like R-values up to R20, VacuMax™ VIG is the ultimate in thermal glazing.
The newest generation of VacuMax™ VIG is now manufactured exclusively with Solarban® 70 solar-control, low-e glass by Vitro and can be used alone as nominal ¼" glass to replace monolithic (single-pane) glass without needing to replace the framing system. Additionally, a new manufacturing process means the next generation of VacuMax™ VIG units don't require a vacuum port and feature a getter that's hidden from view.
Solar Control Low-e Coated Glass

AviProtek® E glass patterns can be applied as horizontal, vertical or decorative visual markers on the first (exterior) surface of both clear and Starphire Ultra-Clear® glass substrates; and with Solarban® 60 or Solarban® 70 glass on the second (interior) surface of an insulating glass unit (IGU).
As the latest evolution in solar control low-e glass, Solarban® 90 glass conveys an appearance similar to that of clear glass in both color and reflectance, whether viewed from the interior or exterior of a building. Combining new materials with advanced coating technology and refinements, Solarban® 90 glass is engineered to outperform even Solarban® 70 glass (formerly Solarban® 70XL glass), the most preferred high-performance solar control low‑e glass in North America.

Solarban® 60 Starphire® glass allows ultra-clear glass to be used for vision glass, skylights, atriums, storefronts and entryways without sacrificing energy performance.
Thanks to its balanced, reflective visual quality, Solarban® R77 glass is ideal for realizing facade and curtainwall designs intended to capture the visual character of the sky and ambient environment. On the building exterior, Solarban® R77 glass offers a crisp, silver-blue transmitted color. On the building interior, Solarban® R77 glass provides clear exterior views and soft, natural, neutral daylighting. Its low interior reflectance means Solarban® R77 glass offers crisp, lively views of the outdoors.
Solarban® R77 glass must always be heat-treated, even for laminated applications commonly suited for annealed glass.
Sungate ThermL™ glass is a low-e coating engineered for use on the interior surface of a typical one-inch insulating glass unit (IGU) that dramatically improves U-values when paired with a Solarban® solar control low-e glass by Vitro on the second surface.
Sungate ThermL™ glass is neutral, colorless and provides low reflectivity, so it looks just like uncoated clear glass while offering enhanced durability and insulation. Sungate ThermL™ glass is engineered to allow for a high rate of visible light transmittance (VLT) and to retain the indoor heated air by slowing down heat transfer through the IGU to reduce winter heating costs.

Passive Solar Low-e Glass
Manufactured with an MSVD “soft coat," Sungate® 400 glass helps buildings harvest energy from the sun and retain solar and furnace heat to reduce winter heating costs. Part of Vitro Glass's earth-inspired collection, Solarblue® glass features a sparkling, light sky-blue appearance that balances high visible light transmittance (VLT) of 50 percent with a solar heat gain coefficient (SHGC) of 0.49 in a 1-inch IGU.
Optiblue® glass is a light-bodied, neutral color tint that optimizes the performance and aesthetics of Solarban® glass coatings as substrates. In addition to providing Solarban® z75 and Solarban® z50 glasses with their cool-neutral appearance, combining Optiblue® glass with new Solarban® 90 glass in a standard 1-inch IGU results in a 0.20 solar heat gain coefficient (SHGC) and a visible light transmittance (VLT) of 37 percent.
Gray & Bronze Tinted Glass
Solarbronze® glass has been a staple in architectural glass offerings since the 1960s because it creates a bold visual statement while maintaining energy efficiency and occupant comfort. A popular choice for commercial structures, Solarbronze® glass has a warm bronze tint that adds subtle richness to the exterior and a warm glow to interior decor. The bronze color especially complements brick and stone facades.
Solargray® glass has been a popular choice for commercial structures because of its cool, medium-gray appearance and ability to control solar heat gain and glare. In a one-inch insulating glass unit (IGU), Solargray® glass provides visual light transmittance (VLT) of 40 percent. Solargray® glass may also be combined with Sungate®400 glass in a 1-inch IGU for improved solar heat gain performance and lower U-values. Solargray® glass's light-gray color makes it an attractive choice in combination with almost any other exterior cladding material.
Optigray® glass is designed to eliminate the green cast typically found in conventional clear glass formulations. It produces a warm, ultra-neutral aesthetic that brings crispness to vision glazing. Specially formulated to function as a substrate with solar control low-e coatings, Optigray® glass delivers advanced solar performance when paired with solar control low-e glasses, such as Solarban® 70, Solarban® 67, Solarban® 60 and Solarban® R100 glasses by Vitro Glass.
With its bold, almost-black look, Graylite® II glass is the solution for applications requiring reduced solar heat gain and a specific aesthetic objective. Graylite® II glass combines superior heat-load reduction and solar control with a distinctive color contrast. Its shading coefficient is among the lowest of any uncoated glass, and its low visible light transmittance (VLT) makes it ideal for glare control and privacy glazing.
Reflective Glass
Vistacool® subtly reflective color-enriched glasses transmit generous levels of visible light and provide color neutrality, which amplifies and enriches the tint of the glass substrate underneath without a mirror-like appearance. More understated than traditional reflective glass, Vistacool® glasses are available in two distinct tints - aqua-blue Azuria®and rich-blue Pacifica® Vistacool®glasses can be combined with Solarban® solar control low-e glass or Sungate® 400 low-e glass to achieve light-to-solar gain ratios as high as 1.66.
Short Form Spec - Ocean Inspired Series
Solarcool® glasses can be glazed with the reflective coating positioned on either the first or second surface. The glass has improved performance and higher exterior visible-reflectivity with a metallic sheen when installed with the coating on the first surface. Combined in a 1-inch insulating glass unit with clear glass, Solarcool® glasses offer an expansive palette of appearance and performance options.
