What is an IP Camera and What are the Benefits?

An Internet Protocol Camera, commonly referred to as an IP camera, is a digital video camera that transmits and receives data over a network or the internet. The images captured by an IP camera may be viewed from anywhere in the world via the internet, whether via pc, laptop or mobile phone. In many cases, as well as being able to view video footage and listen to audio streaming, the camera may also be controlled remotely. IP Cameras are a versatile security solution, requiring nothing more than a network connection. There is no need for co axial cables, a computer station or even wired electricity. The Sentinel-IR 4K Moto-Dome from Enviro Cams, is a 8 Megapixel Infrared Network Camera with a Motorized 2.8-12mm Auto-Focus Zoom Lens.

One unique feature of this camera, is that the Infrared Lamps are totally hidden. You won't be able to tell that this is an Infrared camera. Yet the Powerful Hidden Lamps can throw IR Light out as far as 100′ on a moonless night. So the Sentinel-IR makes an excellent Low Light Surveillance tool. (Note: as with any infrared dome camera, a smaller space with something to bounce the Infrared light off of, is the best place to use a dome camera outdoors. If you have an open field with nothing to reflect the light, use a bullet camera or other strong Infrared source).

Why Do I need a Thermal Security Camera System?
Traditional cameras use light to produce an image while thermal uses heat. Thermal cameras can detect the slightest of heat sources but there are some limitations. Thermal cameras do not offer you the sharpest detailed images that an ordinary security camera can. For a well rounded video security system we recommend adding multiple technologies to your system. All of Our Ceiling Mounts have set screws. Set screws are very important, as they keep Pipes, Accessories, cameras and any other devices from coming unscrewed due to PTZ rotation forces or other problems.  Tighten down the set screws and keep the tightness and/or orientation you desire.

This Heavy Duty Parapet Mount is not only useful by itself, but it can also be ordered with a variety of attachments. Any of our products with the Standard Side Mounting Plate will fit on the HD Parapet Mount. The HD Parapet comes with the Junction Box with Side Mounts.
